State of the Street - October 2025

At Christopher Street Financial, financial planning and investment management is what we do, but it is not who we are. We are here to create opportunities through relationships, helping our clients lead fulfilling lives. That is our core purpose. That is why we do what we do.

This year, we have placed an even greater emphasis on creating opportunities to gather, connect, and share experiences that extend well beyond the financial markets.

The timing feels especially important. These continue to be challenging and sometimes confusing days. On the one hand, financial markets have shown strong performance. On the other, the broader social and political environment feels turbulent and uncertain. That dissonance can be difficult to reconcile.

It is precisely in such times that community – real conversations, meaningful connections, and shared experiences – matters most. We believe that our role as advisors extends beyond developing financial strategies and managing portfolios. Our responsibility is also to foster an environment where our clients are seen, supported, and have an opportunity to connect.

That is why we have been intentional about creating more spaces for our clients, friends, and allies to come together.

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of hosting Eric Marcus of the Making Gay History Podcast with “Voices from the Shadows – LGBTQ+ Experiences During the Nazi Era” in recognition of LGBTQ+ History Month. This event was particularly meaningful to us, not only because of the important stories it lifted up, but also because it allowed us to welcome so many of you into our newly renovated offices. The evening was a chance to reflect on history, celebrate progress, and connect with one another in person.

And last month we launched a new monthly webinar series, beginning with “Behavioral Finance Concepts – Everyday Biases”, including our partners at Avantis Investors®. These webinars are designed to provide regular opportunities to engage on a wide range of topics – some financial and others more personal. Members of the Christopher Street Financial team and our partners will lead conversations that we hope have personal relevance, such as caring for aging parents, gay travel, and charitable giving strategies – topics that shape our experiences as people and not just investors.

And, as part of our commitment to community, we are proud to highlight an upcoming event with The Ali Forney Center, our lead charitable partner for 2025. On November 15th, Christopher Street Financial will be participating in SERVE, a danceathon to raise money to provide meals for LGBTQ+ and at-risk youth who are experiencing or threatened by homelessness.

SERVE is a wonderful opportunity to get involved: you can cheer us on by donating to our team, or better yet, join us on the dance floor by becoming part of the team yourself. Together, we can raise both awareness and critical support for an organization that makes an extraordinary impact.

So as we continue to expand our calendar of events, we hope you will join us. Whether in the office, online, or even on the dance floor, these opportunities are meant to deepen the relationships that make our work meaningful.

We look forward to seeing you soon – because financial well-being is important, but the strength of community is what sustains us all.
